kissed and sun-kissed
Foreword
Here is my confession: I have a thing for cream bronzers. I feel like over the years makeup brands have been upping their game and we have seen a lot of new and exciting bronzers hit the market. One that caught my eye was Sun Melt Bronzer, the star of today’s review. Is it worth the hype? Let’s find out together.

About the Product
Saie Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer (30 USD; Made in USA) – is described as a lightweight, creamy bronzer with a velvety finish.
Packaging: as many of my Instagram beauties have pointed out, this product does have a similar vibe to the best-selling Chanel Les Beiges Bronzing Cream – a see-through mattified bottom and a glossy black lid with the brand’s logo on top. I love this sturdy plastic packaging, as I find it practical and chic. Also, it is fully recyclable. You get 30 ml/ 1 oz of product, which is a standard amount.
Formula: Saie is labeled as a “clean” makeup brand, which means that its products are formulated without potentially harmful elements. The Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer has some skin-loving ingredients in it which is something I appreciate. Highlighted are Colloidal Oatmeal (moisture), Grape Seed Oil (antioxidants), and Elderberry Extract (vitamin A). It is also rich in skin-nourishing Jojoba Esters.

Shade: Medium Bronze
Texture: the “melt” part describes this product’s texture to a T. It almost feels like melting chocolate once it gets in contact with the warmth of your fingertips or skin. Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer is deliciously balmy and smooth.
Scent: this bronzer does have added fragrance, which is listed towards the end of the ingredients list (which means its content is low). I would describe it as pleasantly sweet yet very faint at the same time; it does not linger.
Application: cream bronzers are best applied with densely packed, rounded brushes made of synthetic bristles. Think Sephora Makeup Match Foundation Brush or the brand’s very own The Big Buffing Bronzer Brush. A shape like this will pick up enough product and distribute it evenly across the face.
Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer layers well, so you can easily go from a light “kiss” of bronze to a whole “makeout” session with a few brush strokes. I find that it applies evenly, without leaving any noticeable patches or sporadic spots of color. It does not accentuate skin texture or pores, gliding on as smooth as a skincare product would.

Wear: for a cream product, Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer lasts quite a good amount of time. I would say it wears well for up to 4-5 hours, before beginning to fade away. Generally speaking, even after 8 hours I find that my complexion still looks bronzed and beautiful. However, if you want to lock everything in place you might layer a powder bronzer on top, and this way your work will not go anywhere.
Results: healthy, natural bronze with a subtle sheen. Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer almost becomes one with the skin, and with a good blending brush, you won’t even see where the product begins or ends. I find that whenever I use mine, and I typically go darker with my bronzers, I look like I have been on a tropical vacation somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
Shade Range: this product is currently available in four shades (light to dark). I picked Medium Bronze, which might appear quite orangey in photos, but once it is applied it looks very natural and not overly warm at all.
Verdict
If you have been on the hunt for a new cream bronzer, one that looks natural and is easy to work with, you came to the right place. I have been enjoying mine for many months now and kind of forgot I own anything else, which speaks for itself. I feel like this formula will work for all skin types (particularly those of us with drier skin), and even with daily use, it will take you a while to get through Sun Melt Natural Cream Bronzer (great news for your wallet!). All in all, a nice little invention by Saie that gets an A+ from me.
