About the Product

Rabanne Glowies Lip Gloss (24 USD; Made in Italy) - is a collection of ultra-shiny, non-sticky, tinted lip glosses. They claim to be comfortable, hydrating, and lip-smoothing.

Packaging: true to the brand's identity, you look at a sleek tube containing 9 ml/ 0.3 fl oz of product. The design is minimal, yet practical. The Glowies Lip Gloss comes in see-through packaging with the shade name mentioned on the back. You get a petal-shaped doe-foot applicator, which is extra soft and picks up enough product for each application.

Formula: Rabanne pride themselves on using skin-loving ingredients in their products. The Glowies Lip Gloss is no exception. The highlighted ingredients are Pomegranate Oil and Hyaluronic Acid. Besides that, the formula is rich in Castor Seed Oil (nourishing), Jojoba Seed Oil (hydration), and various organic polymers.

Vegan 🌱 Cruelty-free🐇

Texture: the Glowies Lip Gloss is currently available in two finishes which include tinted-creamy and shimmery. The texture of both is equally smooth and silky. These glosses are a touch thick in feel, however, not in a bad (sticky, gloppy, gritty) way. They coat the lips like a mask or an extra hydrating balm would.

Scent: there is a tiny amount of Parfum added to the formula, however, it is practically undetectable. Once the Glowies Lip Gloss is on, you don't smell anything.

Shades: currently available in eight trendy shades, two of which have a shimmery finish. The ones shown in this post are Soul Kiss (brown), Toxic Lips (purple-lavender), and Frost Love (clear with pink-purple shimmer).

Finish: high-shine. The opacity is light-to-medium.

Application: giving the Glowies Lip Gloss a petal-shaped applicator (vs a squeeze tube) was the best idea. This is a foolproof gloss, you can apply it with your eyes closed. The formula plays well with other lip products, without causing bleeding or separation.

Wear: the Glowies Lip Gloss adds a beautiful shine to the lips, coating them with comfort and care. Even when the color wears off, usually after 3-4 hours, you are still left with a well-nourished pout. Having dry lips, I truly enjoy how moisturizing this formula feels.

Verdict

So long dry lips! Vinyl pouts are back in style. Whether you are all about that "clean girl" aesthetic or full-on glam, I have a feeling you could find new favorites in the Rabanne line. And if you are the ultimate gloss boss, the Glowies Lip Gloss is a great place to start. You look at a concise collection of modern, straight-from-the-backstage colors in a beautiful, lip-hugging formula. I do wish these had more of a fruity or vanilla scent to them, to enhance the experience, but either way, they are something worth trying. A+ from me.
