About the Product
Hanskin Hyaluron Skin Essence (25 USD; Made in Korea) - is described as a hydrating, moisture-replenishing essence that reveals plump and supple skin.
Packaging: this Hanskin creation is housed in a well-made plastic bottle, that contains 150 ml/ 5.07 fl. oz of product. I like this minimalistic yet practical design (baby pink accents in particular). This might not be the most travel-friendly product though, so it would be nice to see some minis down the line.
Formula: the Hyaluron Skin Essence is a water-based formula, rich in Glycerin, Butylene Glycol (humectants), Linseed Seed Extract (source of skin-soothing fatty acids), and Hydrolyzed Collagen (moisture). The brand is using both Sodium Hyaluronate (smaller molecules that penetrate deeply) and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid to quench skin with a lot of moisture.

Scent: fragrance-free.
Texture: this product has a clear, watery texture that is neither runny nor thick. Not sticky.
Application: use the Hyaluron Skin Essence right after cleansing and before moisturizing (serums, creams). I would recommend applying this product with your hands vs. cotton rounds as they will waste your product. Pour a desired amount into your palms and gently press the essence onto your face and neck. Can be used both day and night by itself or in a combination with a toner.
My biggest tip here - make sure to lock hydration in place with a potent moisturizer. This way you will get the most out of the Hyaluron Skin Essence (or any other Hyaluronic Acid-rich formula).
Finish: this product feels lightweight and absorbs quite well, leaving you with a natural skin finish and a hint of sheen.
first impression
This formula feels instantly refreshing and hydrating. When used overnight, you wake to smoother, plumper skin.
long-term use
The skin barrier becomes strong and resilient, with little to no dry patches or dehydration lines in sight. Skin appears plump, balanced, and soft. From my experience, this essence plays quite well with various formulations (including acids), which is great news for those who love a good product rotation. Does not clog pores or cause breakouts.
Verdict
Although it does not happen often, this was love at first use. I was struggling with mild seasonal dehydration, and the Hyaluron Skin Essence fixed it in no time. With a deeply hydrating product like this one, you see results almost immediately. What is even better? It will work wonders for all skin types, including sensitive ones. I think this must be one of the most intuitive, user-friendly essences that I have come across. If your skin loves Hyaluronic Acid, I think you will truly enjoy this Hanskin gem. I see why it is a bestseller. It lives up to its claims and for that reason, I give it an A+ rating.
