“Happiness is the secret to all beauty. There is no beauty without happiness.” - Christian Dior
Foreword
When it comes to luxury designer makeup, The House of Dior must be my absolute favorite. In today’s post I am going to talk about one of the brand’s recent releases – Forever Skin Correct Concealer. Described as “foundation, concealer, contour cream and brightener” in one, let's see if it is really worth the hype and [most importantly] your money.

My Skin: dry, sensitive (light-neutral complexion)
About the Product
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer (36 USD; Made in France) – is described as a single-sweep, “24-hour wear caring full coverage creamy concealer” with skincare properties derived from floral extracts.
Packaging: one thing you notice about this Dior concealer right away – is it’s bigger than average, borderline jumbo size. It is housed in a well-made plastic tube with the brand’s iconic logo on the cap. The large doe-foot applicator has a slanted tip, that glides easily on the skin and picks up a decent amount of product. You get 11 ml/ 0.37 fl.oz here, which is more than what you are normally offered by other brands (but you also pay a bit more).

Shades: available in 30 shades split into three undertones (cool, neutral, warm); the one you see in this post is 1.5N, which is a perfect choice for someone with a light-neutral complexion. From my experience it was quite easy to find a shade match, true to my skin color and undertone.
Formula: Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer has a lovely and creamy texture, that is concentrated in pigment. This water-based formula is enriched with Wild Pansy Extract, that should moisturize and nourish the skin.
Scent: I detect no fragrance whatsoever.
Finish: sets to a natural skin finish with a slight sheen; might get a bit dewy throughout the day (without setting powder). Shade 1.5N did not oxidize.
Application: this concealer is a joy to work with. Whether you decide to blend it out with fingertips, brushes or sponges – you will get equally stunning results. I would say that it takes Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer a minute or two before it completely sets, so you have enough time to move it around or add more to areas where you want more coverage. This concealer plays well with most formulas and I had no issues layering/blending other makeup on top of it. It does not sink into pores, thus camouflaging them well.
You can adjust the coverage (from light to medium-full), by applying less or more product. This formula is buildable, but from my experience it did not give me an extreme full coverage to hide post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation completely. At the same time it did a very good job at evening out skin tone, brightening my under-eye area or hiding minor imperfections.
Wear: I have dry skin and try to avoid using powders at all costs. Unlike most medium-full coverage concealers, this one actually complements my skin type a lot and does not accentuate texture or make my under-eye look drier than it actually is. Thanks to its natural skin finish, I can easily avoid powders, yet without experiencing massive creasing. It also feels weightless and semi-hydrating on the skin, which is another bonus. So far, win-win!
On me Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer wears incredibly well all day long, 10-12 hours minimum. I imagine that if you set it with powder, you might get even more mileage out of it.

Verdict
I am very impressed by this Dior concealer. Not only does it come in a plethora of shades and undertones, but it also lives up to its hype and claims. You can easily use Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer as a regular under-eye concealer or sheer it out to turn it into a light-medium coverage foundation. The formula is quite malleable and you are the key makeup artist here. I think this is a perfect choice for pretty much all skin types and I highly recommend it to people, who look for a natural-looking, breathable, multi-tasking concealer with decent coverage and even better wear time. I give it A+
