About the Product
Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream (65 USD; Made in France) - is described as a lightweight eye cream formulated to visibly de-puff, firm, hydrate, and rejuvenate the undereye.
Packaging: recently Caudalie have been revamping their products, both inside and out. The upgraded version of the best-selling Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream now comes with a cooling metal applicator, which is a great added tool for applying the product and gently massaging the delicate skin around the eyes. As usual, you get 15 ml/ 0.5 fl. oz worth of product per tube. This packaging is excellent for on-the-go or travels.
Recyclable ♻️
Formula: the Resveratrol-Lift line is created in collaboration with Harvard University. The efficiency of these formulations is backed up by science and thorough research.
The Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream is a water-based product rich in Glycerin (occlusive, hydrating layer), Sodium Polyacrylate (absorbent that keeps locks in moisture, thus making skin smooth and supple), Palmitoyl Grapevine Shoot Extract (antioxidant, source of Resveratrol), Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract (stimulates collagen), Sunflower Seed Oil (moisture), Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid (moisture), Hyaluronic Acid (moisture), and more.
😊 PROS

☹️ CONS
Nothing that stands out. If you are unsure, check the complete ingredient list here.
Vegan🌱 Cruelty-free🐇
Texture: silky-smooth, weightless gel-meets-cream consistency.
Scent: none.
Application: the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream can be used both as part of your AM and PM skincare routine. The cooling effect of the applicator is particularly enjoyable first thing in the morning when you want to gently "wake up" the skin. It glides with ease even without any product on it, so you can use it whenever you want by itself.
I find that little goes a long way with this formula, so there is no need to use a lot of product to achieve the desired effect. Skin feels instantly hydrated and refreshed.
The Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream plays well with makeup. There is no pilling or balling up of the product. It does not make the undereye greasy either; I have never had any issues with mascara imprinting or concealer creasing.
Wear: the sensation of well-moisturized skin lasts well throughout the day. I find that the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream calms the skin, especially when it feels a bit sensitive.
long-term use
I have been religiously using and repurchasing the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream for several years now. Even when I experiment with other eye creams, I always find myself going back to Caudalie. This formulation was particularly helpful in improving the texture of my under-eye. I have dry skin and very sensitive eyes. Before using this product, I would deal with dry patches and occasional itchiness (being a swimmer made it worse). Years later I have little to no fine lines. My skin looks plump, healthy, and well taken care of. While the results were not immediate, the time invested was well worth it.
Verdict
I believe in the power of a good eye cream. If you are in the same skincare boat, I have a feeling you might like what Caudalie has to offer. While I enjoy most of their eye creams, there is something about the Resveratrol-Lift Firming Eye Gel Cream that just works for my skin. I would say that improving skin texture is where it truly shines. If you are looking for a safe Retinol alternative for sensitive skin, you may consider Resveratrol. It is a lovely, gentle, yet potent formulation that would work best for 25+ beauties. This eye cream stood the test of time and is an effective preventative skincare product that deserves an A+.
