Foreword
Whether you agree with Mr. Dostoevsky or not, here is something wonderful to [hopefully] distract you from the global C-word misery: a new collection of Caviar Stick Eye Color by Laura Mercier. If you are a friend to the blog (virtual hugs), then you already know just how much I adore these twist up eyeshadow sticks and to my delight we now have additional 12 brand new colors to talk about.

About the Product
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color (29 USD; Made in USA) is described as a creamy eyeshadow stick that delivers intense color payoff and long-lasting wear. It comes in a plethora of shades and three main finishes (matte, metallic, shimmer).
In case you are new to the product or want to see all of the original colors, you can read my review here.
Packaging: what not to love about this sleek and minimalistic design? Every pencil has its shade name printed on the packaging and comes with a color-matching bottom, so that even if you own a few of these eyeshadow sticks, you won't ever have a problem finding the one you need. Some pencils are more fragile than others and can break (it is a cream formula after all). Which is why, similarly to your favorite lipstick, be thoughtful of how much you twist it up.
Formula, Texture: these are some of the creamiest and smoothest eyeshadow pencils you will ever come across. Even shimmery shades just glide right on, without ever feeling gritty or chunky. The level of color intensity might vary according to the shade's distinctive finish - some being more sheer or opaque than others.
Application: Caviar Stick Eye Color glides on with ease and depending on the shade you go for, you can either create an ethereal, pearlescent wash of color on your lids or something quite sultry and dramatic. In other words - you are the boss. From my experience with these (and I have been using my Caviar Sticks for a hot minute), it is best to always work one eye at a time as they set fast; once that happens, good luck trying to move them around as they will not budge. This happens to be my favorite thing about the formula - these shadows are long-lasting, transfer-proof, crease-resistant and you can easily use yours in place of an eye primer. These eyeshadow sticks can be worn on their own or other cream/powder products. Purples and blues will be particularly useful as a base for matching powder shadows that, due to the tricky nature of their hues, can often lack pigmentation.
I often layer Caviar Stick Eye Color underneath my powder shadows, especially when I want to create a vibrant, multi-dimensional look. I find that these eyeshadow sticks are best applied directly onto the lid and then blended out with a synthetic brush.
Wear: once the color is on, it will stay put for up to 12 hours. Naturally, some shades might lose their vibrancy around 8th hour mark, but even that is quite impressive for a cream product. Although my skin is dry, my lids can get oily, which can be an issue (unless I use an eye primer). With these eyeshadow sticks you can rest assured that you won't experience any creasing.

Verdict
I have always been a massive fan of Caviar Stick Eye Color and this new collection ticks all the right boxes for me. There are so many cool ways that you can use these shadow sticks; all you have to do is unleash your inner makeup artist and get creative with it! One of the key evaluation criteria I look at when reviewing new makeup is - whether or not it makes me feel inspired. Thankfully all new twelve shades are a breath of fresh air: colors are punchy, opulent and wearable; I only wish there was an emerald green here. Other than that, I am so glad that Laura Mercier enriched the range, by adding these fun and vibrant tones. To sum it up - I give these A++
